Brigitte
Brüderl studied classical guitar at the
Leopold-Mozart-Conservatory in Augsburg/Germany. She was awarded with
the Förderpreis für Musik from the city of Augsburg. She participated
in several masterclasses with Eliot Fisk, Konrad Ragossnig and
Godelieve Monden. She teaches at a music school in Germany
Hans Brüderl studied
the guitar at the conservatory Leopold-Mozart-Konservatorium" in
Augsburg/Germany, and at the University of Music "Mozarteum" in
Salzburg/Austria, where he is currently teaching. As a Lute player he
is performing in various ensembles for early music (a.o.Salzburger
Hofmusik, Wiener Barocksolisten and Marini Consort Innsbruck). His
compositions are published by Universal Edition / Vienna, Zimmermann /
Frankfurt, Vogt & Fritz / Schweinfurt,Acoustic Music/Osnabrück
and Trekel / Hamburg.
Philip Candelaria,
internationally acclaimed for his concert performances and recordings,
Philip has performed as soloist in the Middle East, throughout Central
and South America, the Caribbean, Europe, the U.S. and across Canada.
Winner of several competitions both national and international,
Candelaria has also performed at international festivals in Argentina,
Chile, Jamaica, the U.S. and Canada. He has recorded solo
albums for Centrediscs, Cambrian Records and has 2 compact discs on the
Palladium label. Candelaria's performances have been featured on
numerous national CBC Radio broadcasts as well as Radio Canada
overseas, and on numerous national radio programs on four
continents.
Denis Donegani graduated
from the Quebec Conservatory of Music and then received his Master's
degree from the University of Montréal. He has taken masterclasses with
some of the world's best: David Russell, Roberto Aussel, Roland Dyens
and Manuel Barrueco. Donegani is the recipient of numerous awards and
grants and has been featured on FM-Radio Canada and on CBC-FM Radio. In
1991, he won the Guitare Mauricie Quebec Competition and in 1992
received a grant from the Office Franco-Quebecois pour la Jeunese,
which allowed him to tour France and Canada. He continues to
publish arrangements for the CGQ with Productions d'Oz. He served as an
assistant professor at the University of Montreal and is presently the
head professor of the guitar program at L'Ecole de Musique de
l'Outaouais and teaches at the University of Ottawa.
Friedrich Ladinig
was a student in the masterclass of Prof. Barna Kovats, where he was
promoted diploma in instrumental education and concert artist. He was
participating in various masterclasses by e.g. Eliot Fisk and Konrad
Ragossnig. Since 1993 Friedrich is teaching classical guitar at the
Salzburger Mozarteum and the Salzburg musicschool.
Reinhard Pscheidl
studied Music and Dance at the Carl Orff-Institute as well as guitar in
the masterclass of Prof. Eliot Fisk at the University
Mozarteum in Salzburg, where he got his masters degree in 2002. Besides
playing concerts with the quartett and his guitar duo Chamber-lane, he
was working with many different chamber music partners He participated
in masterclasses given by Costas Cotsiolis, Alvaro Pierri, Oscar
Ghiglia and others.
Patrick Roux won
the Canadian National Guitar Competition in 1989, solidifying his
reputation as one of Canada's finest guitarists. In 1992 he won 2nd
place at the prestigious Concours International de Duo de Guitare
Classique de Montélimar, France with partner Robert Latreille. This
outstanding duo then recorded their first CD in 1993. Roux is also an
accomplished composer and his works are published by Productions d'Oz.
He has created a repertoire for the group Contretemps/Go, with whom he
released a début compact disc in 1996 and now composes and arranges for
the CGQ. Roux is often heard on CBC radio, on both the French and
English networks and has performed with orchestra and played for the
Queen of Jordan, the Princess of Holland, the Prime Minister and the
Governor General of Canada.
Louis Trepanier is
an exciting young virtuoso from Quebec. In 1998, he graduated from the
Conservatoire de Musique du Quebec ŕ Hull with the Prix en Guitare,
studying with Patrick Roux. His strong playing has earned him several
prizes and awards, including first prize in 1996 in the Quebec
provincial competition, Guitare Mauricie, in duo. Trépanier has
performed with the Orchestre de chambre de Hull and has studied in
masterclass with Leo Brouwer, Hubert Kappel, David Russell, Roland
Dyens, Roberto Aussel, and Fabio Zanon. Trépanier continues to publish
arrangements for the CGQ with Les Productions d'Oz and currently
teaches at the University of Ottawa.
